Commentary #
Wind gave this one away early: it was strong overnight — 30.2% at 03:30 — kept the small hours cheap (the day’s low, €149.00, actually landed at 03:30, not midday), then evaporated through the morning and never came back. By the 17:30 peak it had fallen to 4.4%, and the evening sat on a flat, ugly plateau — 260s from 18:00 straight through to 21:00. That’s the widest peak/off-peak spread of the run so far, €61.44, and the first day this week that periods above €200 crossed half the day (23 of 48, 48%).
Mean hit €203.86, the highest of the week. When wind checks out for an entire evening rather than dipping and recovering, the market doesn’t get a shape — it gets a wall.
