Commentary #

No generation-mix data today, but the price curve doesn’t need one to tell this story: it collapsed from €164.57 at 07:30 to a flat €20.00 through 13:30 and 14:00–14:30, then rocketed back to €213.79 by 23:00. That’s a textbook renewables-glut shape read straight off the curve — a deep, sustained midday floor, a near-empty afternoon, and all the value pushed to the evening and overnight edges.

The knock-on effect: peak/off-peak spread went negative for the first time this fortnight (-€53.34) — the off-peak average (€152.77) actually beat the peak average (€99.43). Mean fell to €119.43, the lowest of the run, and only a single half-hour cleared €200 all day. When the floor falls out at midday, the whole day’s average follows it down.
