Commentary #
Plenty of wind today (43.9% average) and still not a single period under €150. The problem was timing again. Wind peaked at 64.6% around 03:30-05:00, when nobody needed it, and prices only got down to €167 there. By 20:30 it had faded to 25.8%, right as demand peaked, and we got the day’s high of €254.
The midday dip (€154.48 at 14:30) was the only real relief, and the peak/off-peak spread is a tiny €9.75 because the overnight hours stayed expensive. The cheap/dear spread tells a better story at €87.9. There was shape, it just wasn’t where the clock says it should be.
Good wind, wrong hours. Friday needs it in the evening.
