Commentary #
It went very low. €52.45 mean, the lowest on the blog, and a €1.00 minimum at 05:00. From 03:00 to 16:00 nothing cleared above €17. That’s thirteen hours of power basically given away, on 45-55% wind and low Saturday demand.
No morning ramp at all on a Saturday, so the only shape is the evening: wind eased to the mid 30s, gas came back into the stack, and price climbed to €213.26 at 21:00. One period above €200 all day.
Great for anyone on the spot, a nightmare for wind farms. Their capture price today was pennies.
